Containerised Storage...

Shire Storage now offer industry standard
containerised storage for your convenience. The containers measure
7ft deep 5ft wide and 8ft high, this equates to approximately 250 cubic
feet. To give you an idea of the space available each container
will store up to 12 washing machines. If you require additional
insurance this can be arranged at £0.25p per week per £1000 of fire and
theft cover.
Containerised storage is the ideal
solution for people moving home. It allows you safe secure storage
of your household goods while awaiting completion of sale or purchase of
your home. Many customers have found it to be a huge advantage,
not having to worry about completing the sale and moving home all in one
day.
How does it work?
When you are ready to move your goods
into storage we will arrive at your address as arranged. Your
goods will then be removed from your house and loaded directly into
containers which are transported on a special lorry. When
complete, the lorry will return to our depot. The loaded
containers will then be removed from the lorry and stacked in the
warehouse by forklift. When you are ready to come out of storage
we will then load the containers back onto the lorry and deliver them to
your new address. Our porters will then unload your goods from the
containers into your new home.
In some circumstances we may decided
not to load the containers at your address but instead load the
containers at our warehouse. This might be because, for example,
due to difficult access at your address or some other associated
logistical reason. In such cases we will arrive at your address
and load a suitable removal lorry in the traditional manner. When
we return to our depot, We will then offload your goods into your
containers at our warehouse. If your new address has good access
we will then arrive with the loaded containers and unload your goods as
normal.
